my wife has an 04 xb, i waswondering if this could be possible with factory keyless and how it would work.....
i want the headlamps and the reverse portion of the taillamps to cut on when the unlock button has been activated, (kinda like the dome,but for exterior entry)and stay on until vehicle has been cranked?????? or longenough for her to enter the vehicle

It could be done but wouldn't be worth the problems it could create.

IMO, I think it would be more helpful when your locating your car in a big parking lot (lets say like at a stadium or something). I know there's more likely a way to use your parking lights to do it maybe easier should I say, but it would be so much easier to locate your car with your headlights on rather than your turn signals or parking lights.

I trust auex's word though, its probably not worth the problems. Im guessing like if you had HID's and  you left them on for too long or something I dont know what exact problems, but... What if I wanted to use my turn signals instead? Im totally bad with relays, anyone wanna draw up a diagram?!
