Grill cloth is too thin mate, resin drips through all over the place, and makes a mess, fleece is a lot stronger too

To hold the fleece in place until the resin dries, I would recommend getting some door or window edge welting from a local upholstery supply store. That is what I have used several times in place of the trunk seal. Then you can just reuse it or pitch it when your done.

Thanks for the comments man, ive actually already started, i looked at the area and it seemed a better idea to take a mold of the weather strip area and mold the fleece to that, ill get some pics sorted when its all done. Cheers
