O.K. need your technical opinions, to let you now what i have right now in the dash: Alpine 9827

I'm thinking of up grading to either an Eclipse 8455 or a Clarion DXZ 945mp.

I've done some homework on the two but still can't decide.

  1. In the food chain, where do all these units fall? is the price all that seperates them?

  2. of the three which has better customer service as far as returns and repairs?

  3. for the DIYer, which is less complicated and time consuming to install?

I can get the Eclipse for around $600 with changer and the clarion for around $450 with changer, or stick with what I have and up grade from coax to components (currently have Infinity ref 5.25 in the sotck locations fr/r and legacy competion 3.5 in the dash and 5.25 in the rear in custom enclosures).

i'm a huge alpine fan.  if i were you and you wanted to upgrade go for the alpine 9831 or 9833.  31 is more user friendly and about 50 bucks cheaper i believe.  i have the 33 in my camaro and i love it. also definately upgrade to components
If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.

well thanks for your responce but as of right now i don't have to worry about anything cause my car was broken into last night and they took everything. so now it's a matter of getting everything replaced not just the HU.

what they took:

Alpine CDA9827

Eclipse PA 5422

Eclipse DA 7122

2- 3.5 legacy competition speakers

they couldn't get to the subs so they are fine. just sucks to come out to your car to go to work and your dash is in peices.
