Nice construction pics.  You can build a flat platform for the amps, run the wiring below and up through grommets.  Carpet it the same as the sub enclosure.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I always use silicone rubber RTV.  It's not necessary, just habit.
