Are your subs in phase? What size box are they in? DO you have sufficent power going to your amp? Answer theses questions and maybe we can help.

How are the woofers wired?  What kind of enclosure are they in?   How did you set the amplifier's input gain?  What are you using for your crossover?  What's the head unit? What's the vehicle?

Yes, I agree, It is very important to supply the proper power to that amp. You will need to run 4g  wire to the amp either from the battery or from a distro block that has at least 2 g running to it from the battery.

Also, make sure that you use a 4g ground to the chassie at a minimum and make sure that it has less that 1ohm resistance.

Do you have the 4ohm SVC 5500's or the DVC 4ohm 5500's?

If you have the 4 ohm SVC, wire them seperatly to each terminal of the amp. The amp will see a 2ohm load.

If you have the DVC 5500's then you are doomed to a 4ohm or 1 ohm load. The 801D is not stable at 1ohm and only puts out 400w at 4ohms.

Also with the 801D, you will have to play around with the bass EQ a bit to get the right sound from it.

Hi, it's me again, thanks a lot for answer me furflier & Racer, i will try to explain exactly how i have my system installed, i have 2 SVC MTX thunder 5500 10" subwoofers(a sealed encloser with the size that MTX gave me) connected at each terminal of the MTX thunder 801D, so the amp it self see it as parallel. i have a legacy 890(4x50watt rms) that power my 4 sony Xplod 65 rms/250 peak. i have a Pioneer DEH- P5650MP Headunit. & i have a toyota corolla 2001,I feed this 2 Ampliifers with a 8 gauge wire with a 60 Amp Fuse, connected to a 2.2 Farad Cap. & the grounds are at the same place connected. and i Don't have a distribution block. i installed it this way temporarly because i was out of materials. So, my problem should be: the 8 gauge wire & the ground at the same place? or what else?
I don't Understand much of the gain control, i don't know the range of the gain control.
I don't know much about the Phase, i have an idea but not sure.
So can you guys help me? What exactly my problems are & what i should do?
Thanks a lot, and sorry for my english it's bad

unhook one subwoofer and see if the bass gets louder. If it does than it means that you had one of the subs hooked up backwards, either inside the box or from the terminal to the amp. This is a common mistake and an easy fix, just reverse the wires.

First after you check the speaker leads, get rid of the 8g going to the 801D. Wire 4g directly to the amp from the battery. Make sure the you have at least an 80amp fuse inline less than 2 ft from the battery.

Make sure that you upgrade the ground to the same size.

that little amp is hungry for power, beleive me, I am currently using the same amp and it dims the hell out of my lights so, I am currently getting ready to upgrade the alt to a 220amp.

Everyone above is giving good advice.  You should also do a search here on setting gain controls.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
