OK, so I just punctured a hole in my 6.5 inch woofer while working on my install.  I now plan on using it as a rear fill instead of just heaving it at the wall like I felt like doing.  It will be running off of headunit power.  Is there any cheap solution to "fixing" it or am I pretty much SOL on this?  The hole is about 1/8" round, just to the inside of the surround.  Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

We call this "bass reflexing" a speaker! I've had pretty good success with marine sealant if the speaker has a composite cone.

Paper cones take to clear nail polish pretty well, also.
Bass reflexing - that's funny...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Clear silicone is what I have used with success before.

get a flexible glue like contact first. wat u need-

u know da stuff u get in electronic packages- a thin white foam, get some

get sum contact adhesive

now from the rear of the woofer, place a small piece along the underside of the surround and simply see if the rubber returns to its normal shape, if it does then glue the piece of foam to the underside and ur surround will be as good as new- and to add the foam is air leak free

dont use silicon

He said the hole was "just to the inside of the surround", not in the surround.
