I am looking to install a high level to low level converter to my cars rear speakers to add a sub woofer amp. My problem is that w/ all factory speakers systems I have seen, the manufactures do NOT show polarity on the speakers of which terminal is (+) and which is (-). For Phase purpose I would like to know which color wires on the rear speakers are + and -. Thank you.

Here you go. This is for a 2003 Sunfire, but will do the trick, as it is standard GM wiring colors. Also has the phase labeled for you.

OK, I just check my car (Pontiac Sunfire 2005) and the wire color does not match. It looks like they changed the colors or something. I only checked one speaker, the "left rear speaker" and it has the wire colors WHITE and BLACK. This does not match the colors from the 2003 Sunfire link you gave me. Anymore ideas? PLEASE...

have you checked to see if your OEM system has an amp in the trunk area, driver's side?

Well, if it does I don't know where to find it. I looked in the drivers side trunk area but don't see an AMP. If its there I don't know exactly where to find it. Do you know the precise location it would be? Must I remove trim and carpet to tell? TIA.
