I've never used b quiet before, and I'm planning to install b quiet in a large cargo van to reduce the road noise.  I have to work inside of this van and I'm wondering about the rubber/tar smell?  I'll be using at least 100 sq feet and the roof and most of the sides will be exposed b quiet.

Does the rubber smell go away with time?

Thanks,

Dave

The smell will dwindle over time, but because it a an oil based substance, it will never dry to the point where it wont emit an odor. Give it some time, and the smell shouldn't be as noticeable.

I would suggest using some sort of non-porous material, plastic, to cover the stuff, and this will greatly cut down on smell.

I used eDead and although it had very little odor, I used additional adhesive that added some smell. When I sealed the seams with duct tape, what little there was, was totally gone - night and day.
Subtlety is EVERYTHING.

Will it stay on roofs?  Someone said that you had to use dynamat for roofs because of the heat.

Thanks

The roof was the primary area I used the extra adhesive and only did it after I did a test area and noticed it got loose after 3-4 days when super-heated (typical summer in Ohio - hot humid and miserable) - plus the car is black. After I added the extra adhesive it stayed tight with no problems.
eDead also has a paint they recommend for roofs (I still used the sheets though).
Subtlety is EVERYTHING.

I have 250 ft3 of BQuiet Extreme in one of my vehicles and there was no odor at all.
