I recently purchased a used kicker sx1250.1 amp and it sound's fairly ok with my 15" L7 but it just isn't as loud as a 1250watt amp should be,  to test more I put it in my brothers truck that has to 12" subwoofers that are ran by a little 300watt amp, needless to say the 300 watt amp ran the 12's much louder than my 1250 would,  There has to be a problem with this amp or I just can't find the right settings.  On the amp I went in and hit the reset to factory default settings,  but none of them seem to be as loud as it should either, any ideas?

Thanks

Im sure it isn't the wiring, as I tried the amp on other subs as well, also I threw in a earthquake 3000w amp on the same system and it was night and day difference.

I would like to use the kicker amps though

Did you set the gain and crossover on it?
