I bought an Avic D1 that I can't return after being assured by several sources it would fit seemlessly into my 2000 Expedition. It doesn't.
The Expi has some sort of electronics brain unit in the dash above the factory stereo. The factory unit, as you pull it out, slopes down so this brain will fit above it.
What do I do now? The brain could possibly be moved up closer to the top of the dash if removed from a metal bracket that's holding it. Any thoughts from anyone? I know this is pretty complicated but you guys know what you're talking about and I really don't.
Thanks in advance for trying to help out!!

there is a double din kit made for the 2000 expedition that you could buy for about 18.49...forget who makes it...either metra or scosche...give your local best buy...circuit city...or hh greggs a call...one of them is most likely sure to have it
