Im really having a hard time trying to get a strong enough tach reference signal from the PCM wires (purple or white wire from there) And I cant seem to get to any of fuel injector wires from the hood (very far)and by the way the alarm is a prestige APS-996A.

could be your unit... i always get a good signal on the white wire at the PCM.....
