i have two alpine type-e SVC and a rockford fosgate 600 watt amp.  it has 50w x 2 at 4 ohms, 100w x 2 at 2 ohms, and 200w x 1 at 4 ohms bridged.  i was wondering if i could wire both subs to the bridge them so they would be getting 200 watts.  my amp is a rockford fosgate 201 punch.

you can run that amp at 2 ohms brigded and get 200 to each sub. just brigde the amp and wire the subs in parralell. be sure to set your gain correctlly.

what ohm are the subs 4 or 8 ohm? if you over load that amp it will pop! sounds like your stuck 4 ohm stereo or 8 ohm bridged to operate right with out blowing that amp. but another amp would be a good choice

I have the same setup as you justin.  The punch 201s pushing 2 Punch 10's.  I was wanting to do the same thing, run both speakers bridged at 2ohmsin parallel.  But from the way it sounds, it might not be a good idea.

Question:  Can we run like this and set the gain down a bit to where we are getting more than the 50 watts but not overheating the amp?  Can you run like this "IF" you set the gain correctly and get a little better performance over the 50w X 2 setup?

Thanks
