Hey Guys,
Here's the deal - I just picked up an brand new 06 GMC Yukon Denali XL, and I know it comes with XM, but I can't live without my Sirius. I want it in ASAP, but I want to do the install the right way. I understand there is a module (KNGM1v7) that takes a Kenwood Sirius direct receiver and hooks up to the stock NAV headunit, displaying the song title info on the screen as well as retaining steering wheel control, etc. This sounds like exactly what I want to do. However, their website lists it only as compatible up to 2005, however I bet that's just because they haven't tested it on an 06 - has anything really changed from 05 to 06? Also, they say it will not work with the Rear Seat Entertainment package - any idea why? I assume it has something to do with having the rear seat sound come through the audio system. Is there a way to disconnect that portion of the rear seat system to allow the Sirius adapter to work? Anyone done this before?
Thanks for the help,
Dan

i doubt they changed anything in 06 but the reason the rear seat thing wouldnt work is because it takes up the port that your kenwood module needs to plug in to. If you dont have rear seat controls then id say try it dude!

The SoundGate KNGM1v7 will work in the 06's and will work with Rear Seat Entertainment, we have done a couple installs with this part in the 06's and they work great.
