But seriously, suede is what I am redoing my xterra in and it forms very easy...maybe look into that.

yea, doing it in the car is totally pheasable man. I wouldn't care to do it because upside down work sucks as is especially with sanding. I have really enjoyed the money Ive made doing the suede recovers also. There fast and easy. The main reasons I suggested the cutting of the headliner is just to be different and offer some flexibility as well as be prepared for the noise issues you might encounter. make sure and post pics and I look forward to seeing what you decide. best of luck.
