So to my understanding Fiberglass will not bond to non-porous matierals. This includes metal. So I was wondering... if im going to use part of the trunk for the bottom of the enclosure and I remove all the carpeting do I need to mask the area?
Will the fiberglass release ok?

You should tape and foil it, all, it might not fully cling to it but not taping could lead to unwanted sticking, cracking, warping (granted you can get warping from looking at it wrong but not taping could make it worse =P) and so on. I am not saying you can't do it (although i REALLY say tape and foil it) But it could lead to a major headache even if you did wax the surface and all that jazz, good luck!

masking and foil is the best option glass will stick to no-porous substrates but not very well
