Hey guys. Just a real quick question. My friend just showed me the "system" he picked up for a hundred bucks. It was 2 12" kicker's in a bandpass box, and a "sony" amp. The reason i put Sony in parenthesis, is cuz i dont think it is. It was dark out when i looked at it, but it was all black, Said SONY, on the left corner, and had CA230 on the right (model number) supposedly its a 2-ch 1000w amp. is this a real sony amp, or some ghetto thing with a sony badge? I tried searching online for it, but couldnt find anything. thanks.

sounds like the sony ca 230. its black with wide fins. sony badge on the upper left and ca230 on the upper right.

yes its a ghetto sony. in the center it say's power amplifier 1-2 channel 1000 watts and i think it also says 4ohms next to the 1000 watts
