I am getting ready to place an order with UScomposites and have a few question. I am fiberglassing under the seats of my extended cab dakota for 2 10s, the area will be maybe 5ft x 1.5ft. Only the bottom of the box will be fiberglass, the rest mdf. The mat I have chosen is the 1-1/2oz Chopped Strand Mat FG-10538 38" Width - (10 Yards - 23.50) and the resin B-440 Premium Polyester Layup Resin SM-B440100 (1 Gallon 25.75). Are these the right products for a sub box and is 10yds of mat and 1 gallon of resin going to be enough? If this is not the right stuff please reccomend something better.
Thanks in advance
Morgan

You might need another can, it all depends on how much you like to use, just remember not to over use the resin too much it can make it really brittle if you have too much resin and too little matt. Then again you might not use much over what you have right now, depends on the user really after a certain point (by that I mean how much wasted from spills, too much mixed at one time etc.). If you only get the one can just keep in mind you might have to run down to the hardware store or boat shop for another.

Yeah the matt is good, the chopped works the best IMO. I like it because you can rip it right off and not have to take the time to cut it. Again though, if you do happen to run out you can pick up 9 square feet of it at home depot for like 5 bucks.
