from Wire Magic

VERY IMPORTANT: The knee bolster below the steering wheel contains an airbag. Remove the fuse marked airbag in the fusepanel in the DKP before disconnecting the airbag. If the Airbag is disconnected with the fuse in place, it may cause the SRS light to come on. If this happens, you must bring the vehicle to a dealer to have the code erased.

and Directechs

If equipped with a knee air-bag system, unbolt without disconnecting to access wiring.

i never unplug the knee bolster airbag... just slide it over to the side towards the center console and do my wiring....

some of you boys are dodgey, allways discharge the system for 30 mins before even attempting to unplug or remove an srs component,

most new cars srs light stays on now even if the wires are unpluged and connected correctly, i know it is a pain in the ass, a trip to the dealer to get reset, lucky enough i have equipment to reset the system.

i am also a technician so if you have any engine trouble let me know, and i will do my best to help.
