ok, I have 2 audiobahn AW1208T's. Dual Lug Dual 2 Ohm subs for use in 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Will putting them in series-parallel on a 2 ohm load mess them up, or my amp for that matter?

subs,spl comp dual 1 ohms.

you know fingaz22, you are probably one of the fastest post responders I've ever seen.

BTW, the reason I ask is because when I called to check on my crossfire amp that I sent it for warrenty, they told me that I had blown the exact same transistors or whatever, as the previous time and they are trying to think of what could possibly blown exact ones again.

that amp should be 2 ohm stable in bridge mode. or is it? just keep it cool.

is this how you had it hooked up and fried it?

yes, my crossfire amp is 2 ohm stable. no, i believe I had some series series or something that made the amp shoot flames. I sent it back got it fixed, noticed a whining sound, sent it back, went to afghanistan for 4 months came back installed and still heard the noise. so now I'm getting it completely replaced. I just want to make sure I don't cause the same problems.

yea if you series-parrelle at a 2 ohm load and keep it cool you should not have a problem. double check the impedence at the wires that go to the amp with a dom.

the speaker wire is either 12 or 16 awg.

it's a multi meter set on ohms you probe the wires that come from the speakers after they are wired up.instead of hooking them to the amp hook them to the meter. and check the reading it should be 2 .00 or 2.0 or very close in either direction.

and i think he was reffering o the gauge wire you ran for power and ground and are they the same meanong ground wire and how long is the ground wire? from chassis to amp.

well that amp has two power inputs, two negative inputs, and 2 accessory inputs. so I have 1/0 awg for pos and neg each split into 2 4awg wires for both pos and neg.
