Instructions aren' t real clear on how to program my bypass module. Autostart CH-DT1000 module on 2004 Dodge Ram. It tells me in the instructions to insert each of the keys in the ignition and turn ignition on. After the second one you get security light flashing and warning chime then it says you must place the module near the ignition barrel and power the ignition with a test lead. I am confused the order I should do things here. Do I program before I install it? How will the mod have power then? If someone could run through the steps logically for me I would appreciate it!

Finally got a chance to install remote start in my 2004 Dodge Ram. It seems to be working, I can flash the hood pin, LED is blinking when the ignition is off ect. The next step is to program the remote. I follow these steps:
Programming the Transmitter
The Transmitter Programming Procedure
1. Flash the hood pin switch (see page 9)
– The parking lights will stay ON for up to 20 seconds.
– Before the lights go out, turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
– Immediately turn the ignition key back to the OFF position.
2. Press and hold the LOCK button until the parking lights flash 5 times quickly.
– The module has stored the code of the transmitter into memory.
3. To exit: close the hood.
The part where it goes bad is at holding the lock button, nothing happens. Does this mean the remote is no good? Antenna no good?

WEll solved the problem of not being able to program the transmitter! Works great if you get in and close the door, who would have thunk it??
