what type of fleece do you generally use, im using and old fleece blanket, very thick, not stretchy, that was probably a bad choice, any advice.

Darreng, I use a standard fleece material that you can buy at just about any wal-mart fabric department.  They have rolls of it and you buy it by the yard, various colors, so take your pick.  Usually about $4-5 per yard and i'm pretty sure it's 54 inches wide.  Most of it stretches very well, although some stretches better in one direction than the other.  I'd recommend just going to wal-mart & "copping a feel", find some that suits you.  Best of luck.

I just bought mine at walmart for 4 something a yard and got 2 yards of it... seems to stretch fairly well, I may post about it when I actually get it laid out. Tommy

Yeah sometimes too thick of a fleece isn't good, it wont stretch as much as thinner fleece. fleeces - Last Post -- posted image.

I usually just wonder thru wal marts scrap bin, like the crap theyhave off the end of a roll thats to small to leave on the roll and to large to trash, most of the time it works out to be a yard or 2 of fleece, and if you arent picky about colors its pretty cheap for a rainy day project, i have yet to spend more than 6 bucks for fleece lol. of course if i was doing a big project or a specific need project i would make sure i had more than enough instead of dealing with scraps, but deffinatly check out wal mart.
