allright i started a remote start on a 04 sunfire.  its a base model with no type of theft lock.  we can get the car engine to crank over for a long period of time but does not start.  the directions say to hook up ign 2 if needed.  well thats the proplem the wire harness has no ign 2 but has ign 1 and ign 3.  we conected ign 3 to the wire to the remote start module and the same thing happens.   so im lost.  i got pics of the wire harrnes.

Hi- I have an '05 Cavalier to do this week- Did the "bulb check" during crank go away awhile back on these cars?  I don't see a reference to the black wire in your wiring table- just curious- thanks.....

Don't need the Bulb Check wire:
On 2005 Cavalier use the
OMEGA: IB-PLJX  or IM-01  all Self Learning & easier to  Install

04 Sunfire:
12V- Red
Ignition 1- Pink
Accessory 1- Orange
Acessory 2- Brown
Starter- Yellow
It will have Passlock2, it is not optional. DEI 555L works well. There is no bulb check. Bulb check is only used on Passlock1, which they dropped in around 2001, or 2001 on that platform car.
There is also no "3rd ignition" on any GM that I have seen in recent memory (maybe the odd wierd Buick or Caddy... but that is rather rare)

hoaxs, you have a Passlock II system on the Sunfire. Doesn't matter if it's base or GT, all Sunfire's have this anti theft system built into the tumbler. The 3rd IGN that your referring to is the BROWN accessory wire and it doesn't need to be powered up for remote start purposes.
brcidd, please do not jack other member's threads, if you want to ask a question please start a new post, thanks
