2000 ford laser, head unit wiring?

I have a 2000 ford laser and im wanting to put a cd player in it but cant seem to be able to match up the three electrical wires (red +, black -, and yellow) on the new cd player to that of the car ones. they seem to be different colors. any information greatly apprieciated. thanks

umm first off.

did you buy a wiring harness for your new cd player?  It should plug into the factory plug(s) then you wire the cd player up to the new harness. The package of the wiring harness should tell you which wire on the harness you should connect to which wire on the cd player.

I would use a harness too, but if  you can't,  then just test the wires with a Multimeter.
