like this ? lol This was the first I've ever did.. It has been DRASTICALLY gone over since this picture.. Redid the accordion boot .. got a tonneau(A must , or some kinda cover over the box IMO ) but I guess this is what your looking for , the bootcost ABOUT $6-$6.50 a foot ..

Also , the foam .. well it wasn't suppose to rain that night and well guess what it started to rain and I have no garage so it was just a VERY TEMP. solution !

I installed x8 12's in a bandpass and ported the box into the cab. 94' chevy sportside. With the bandpass box I only had to cut a square that was 18" x 12". The accordion boot worked better than the neoprene rubber that came in a sheet. When you work the accordian boot into the corners, it gets tricky. A oval hole might be a better idea than a square one! Silicon helped to fill in the gaps. The bandpass was perfect because you get 3 db of cabin gain plus a 3 db gain with the bandpass box. Don't forget the bed and the cab are designed to flex seperately. On this peticular truck, the bed sat higher than cab. Measure carefully before you start to cut. Allow for some flex in your design. We won't talk about the lost vehicle value due to this modification.

yea it is lol . I've recently went to 2 12's ..

I did this to my nissan with 3 pioneer premier. It worked really well but the boot is not fun to put in. The worst part for me was when I finished the boot and put the ends together to try and get a good seal to each other. The cab definitely moves so the hole needs to be bigger than the box. When I made my box, instead of like the photo above I made the front of the box the whole size of the space below the bottom window, so it would look more like a stock look. And when you cut the metal piece out try and make it 1 piece cause when I sold my truck I took the same piece I cut out and welded it back on and covered it back up with the factory carpet and it looked like nothing had ever been there. The welds showed in the bed but it is the bed of a truck!!!
