I'm looking at putting 2 12's in a sealed enclosure in my boat focusing on high SPL with only 1.8 cu. ft. of space for the box. These subs are in the same cost and power range, which would you choose and why?

Both are great choices. Go with the least expensive.

neither one is really an spl sub quote unquote but for the price range you really can be beating them, if you want a pure spl sub and nothin but spl then you need to look at somethin like a fosgate rfl15 or a Re sub, they have subs built for nothing but spl
