Currently running pioneer hu, alpine mrp-f240 4/3/2 amp and 4 6.5 pioneer 3-ways. I have stalk alt on trk which is 136 amp. Just recently hooked up a 7,500 lb winch, never used yet though. Could amp draw from winch under load still work alright if stereo is on? I'd rather upgrade alt first if needed rather then try it out first and get stranded out in the middle of the bush. I already have a heavy duty battery. I don't know if anyone has a system and a winch, but I figured I'd ask. Thanks for any assistance.

There's no such word as cant.
You can do anything, if you set your mind to it.

go ahead and upgrade alt to be safe. the only time the winch will pull from alt is when truck is running. better carry some jumper cables.

I think the question you need to ask yourself when you need to CRANK stereo when you are winching? I am pretty sure that when My friends or I need a winch, it is a pretty sticky situation (literally) and communication is key. If your stereo is CRANKIN so loud where you would actually worry about amp usage, why would you do that when actively winching. I dont know, just seems like it would be a one or another thing at the time you need it. and also, how often are you actually going to need to run a winch.... hopefullyalternator output? - Last Post -- posted image.

you should be ok for the reasons stated above... i have that same amp that u do and it doesn't draw a ton of amps as its on the smaller side... and if you have a deep cycle battery like an optima u should be ok for winching..
