Does the N3 use the existing wiring I have in place for my N2 or are there new wires?

I'm thinking of getting the new N3 since I want the enhanced XM display and memo features.

Thanks

Thats a hardware change, not software.  Gotta buy an N3 if you want the sweet ipod and xm display

Sorry for the delay with the v60 East Coast DVD guys. I've had a bit of difficulty with Alcohol 120% and I haven't had the time to get it fixed. I got the software up and running Saturday but the wife had the car and also the DVD. I am dumping the disk right now and will RAR it when complete. If it is finished by the time I am going to bed than it'll be up tonight. If not, it will be up first thing in the morning and I will post a link. This torrent will have a copy of the cover of the CD as well as a NFO with links to torrent's of the old software and the West Coast DVD. I have continued to seed the old software and the West Coast DVD.

Am i the only one who used a Radio shack science fair from the 80's...? Kidding.  Datwo, just curious as to whether or not you will use the actually brake circuit, or create your own.  I would also think it may screw with the ABS and or Stability assistance or Traction controls systems.  I could be wrong though.( If you actually use the cars braking system)

wrecklesswun, I am making my own. Its easy because the timer 555 IC can run on +5 - +15 volts. only a few components are required to make a variable oscillating circuit. Then tie the output to the gate of a transistor and you got a way to pull the parking brake lead to ground with a solid state switch instead of a relay. Then you can play with the rate of speed and duration of the pules with variable capacitor and a variable resistor. Very simple circuit.  Hell your rat shack science fair kit probably had a 555 timer IC. Google search for "555 timer circuit" and you will find many. What you wanna build is an oscillator. A very low frequency one.

the goal is to send pulses above 2-3 mph...as the video lockout occurs @ exactly 5 mph.

Ya the upload is mine. I dunno why you can't connect, probably because I was paused for a minute there. Just let it run, and make sure your torrent client is setup properly with your router, etc.

Actually it doesnt matter. You would do it when ever the radio is on. For the people that don't wanna wait for me on this you could try it yourself with a simple toggle switch. Just have a passenger flipping it while you drive. Try to flip it at the correct rate so that the brake is off just before the nag screen comes up and back on just before the nag screen comes up. I still don't know if this will even work but its worth a try.
