i'm kinda lost here because.. 2007's usually release in mid 2006.. =)

No, the redesigned 2007 is already out. It was mentioned in Car and Driver that they'd be rolling out in January.
hazmanrog, it seems like lately, many of the new GMs are coming out with either the Passlock system (not I or II---no Roman numerals, just Passlock) or PASSKey 3+.
I would venture a guess that it's likely to be simiar to a 2004+ Malibu or 2006+ Impala. If you have done those cars before, it would probably help you out a lot.
