Trying to wire my Sony CDX-C90 to my stock wiring harness. Got a harness from Tweeter that is a basic color coded wiring harness. Hooked everything up and no sound. Looking it up it is clearly the wrong adapter even though it fits. It is labelled as fitting up through 98 GMC. Sorry I don't have the name or model with me as I am at work.

Asked at local high reputable car audio dealer and they are trying to sell me Scosche unit that will integrate OnStar with aftermarket for $180. Do I have to have something like this to just get to the speakers?

I don't care anything about the Onstar or anything to do with it. I am just looking to hook into existing speaker cables for the mean time until I get the rest of the system up to speed and then will rewire the doors.

Also how do the door panels come off on my Yukon. I pulled but they didn't want to budge.

Thanks

Got another harness and it is the same.
None of the companies list a 200 Yukon XL. Is there something special or strange about this year? I am not getting sound to any speakers.

Does your yukon have rear radio controls?..if so it can be a nightmare...as for the door panels..remove the little slider that locks/unlocks the doors (just pops out)..should be a screw in behind it..another screw is at the armrest area..it is an 8mm head..remove the power window/lock switchplate..pops out..there may be a few screws along the bottom of the panel also..and remove the cover that is at the top that covers the mirror area. Also remove the plastic panel that covers the inside door handle (just pops out also)..then lift straight up on the door panel and it should slide off the holes in the door.

Heh - figured out the door planels thanks. It was way too cold the first time I was looking.

Yes it has that rear tape deck with headphone attachements in the rear of the front console. I have pretty much figured I will just cirumvent it and leave the stock there so I can go back to it if I ever sell it.

I was looking for a way to temporarily use the stock speakers while I got everything else installed.
