I have two Mono Class D amplifiers, I need a head unit but I see head units with only one subwoofer output and two normal preamp outputs. Are there any head units that have 2 subwoofer preamp outputs and if not can I use the other preamp outputs on the head unit instead?

If you want 2 sub amps, you can either split that one sub out signal. Or could get a nice crossover setup going. Or you couldpossibly use the rear signal, if your amp has a LPF. Doesnt really matter, what you are trying to do is pretty easy using a variety of methods. No amps for front or rear speakerS?

there is also amps that have a pass thrue feature that lets you connect that one input and there is a set of outputs on the amp that sends out that signal to another amp

yes shawn, forgot all about that, that way you can run one long set of RCAs from unit to one amp, then liek 3 feet of RCA passing thru to the second amplifier. that would be very simple and ideal if your amps have that.

Thank you gentlemen for your input. My amps are Hifonics Titan TX1005D, they have built in x-overs and each amp has a left and right input as well as a left and right output so I'll try that. As for the front and rear speakers, I am still looking because I don't have deep pockets so I need to make a good choice when selecting those. I have 2 15 inch Solo-Baric L7's, each has 5.62 cu ft in vented enclosures. So I need highs loud enough to be heard over those subs.

low pass filter (it only lets the low frequencies pass) for subs. if you were to set it to 50hz, it would only pass the frequencies from 50hz and under.

hpf is the complete opposite, it only let's the high frequencies pass, and all pass let's all the frequencies pass

Components with titanium tweeters work well with a lot of SPL sub going on in the background.  Go listen to some MB Quarts in a similar setup if you can.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
