i have 2 alpine type r 12s the 4ohm version and a rockford fosgate p8002 amp both 2005 models  i heard that theres a way 2 wire them 2 around 2.7 ohms  if u have a diagram or know anything let me know

you were told wrong.. are they dual voice coil or single voice coil?

nope, your amp is 800 watt rms 2 channel right? if so, wire both subs in parralelle, then connect them together in series, then, bridge them on your amp, that will give you a 4 ohm load bridged on your amp, wich is what i think it can handle right?

Wiring diagram for two dual 4-ohm subs
^Click that link and wire them like shown in Option #2. Then bridge your amp and run them like that.

If you were to series-parallel 3 of them, not 2, you'd get the 2.67 ohms.

thanks guys   what do u think about running multiple amps on 4 type r 12s  like going with something else besides the rockford p8002 on two other speakers.  would wiring the type rs on my amp to 1 ohm ruin my amp or subs.  they are dual voice coil to whoever asked.

To my knowledge, that amp is not stable to 1 ohm, so yes, you could possibly ruin your amp if you did so.
