I'm having a problem with the constant power draw from the brain of an alpine iva-d300. The brain seems to stay on and it kills my battery. its as if the remote power is not workin. me and my buddies checked all the wires n they're still hooked up fine. anyone have any solutions or suggestions? thanx, Keoni

well if you are positive that the wires are hooked up fine, there must be something wrong w/ the unit.
but it sounds like the ignition wire is hooked up to a constant lead. check the red wire w/ a volt meter. it should read 0 when the key is off, and as soon as you switch the key to on, it will read around 12.
