i have connected all the main wires but the car in still not turing over i am only using the remote start function. not the alarm i think that i am supopsed to use some one the 24 pin wires in that harrness what are the main ones that i need to use for the install. i have used the brake wire, the sys ground and the tach output whic other wires should i use just for the remote start function.

More info like what brand and model is the system? What year is the car?

this remote starter has a control switch...it has a red plug on it. this must be in place and on in order for the unit to work. also the tach signal must be learned.

this vehicle has a transponder based key. if you are not using a bypass and extra key it will not function.

try to test with key in ignition. not turned on just pushed in.
