05’ Rendezvous remote start

 I have a customer that we put a remotestart on their 05  Rendezvous that for some reason the security light stays on if the car is RS and sit for more than 2 min. If  you remotstart it and get in the car before a min or so  the security light goes off. We are using the 555GW also. Anyone have this problem before?

Although not the same vehicle, I had a similar problem with the Saturn Relay/Chevy Uplander. When you would use the remote start, it would randomly trip the service theft system indicator on the dash. I had used a 556U in both of the vans, as per directechs. I found the GMBP through searching for solutions, put it in, and everything has been perfect since. I know that you are currently using a pk3 data interface and not a U, but maybe reprogramming it (is it reprogrammable?) would fix the problem?

Did you hook up the brown accessory wire? I think that is one of the vehicles that has an issue if you don't hook it up.

You need to use a - park lite

Yes I tried the brown wire but I still end up with the same problem. I talked to directed and that wasn't any help.  This car has 2 purple data wires for the passlock 3  and I have tried both and I get the same thing everytime. I have tried finding  a 3rd ign but no luck.

Sorry i was so short last post ( had a cutomer) I used the - park light on this truck. I was told to do so by crimestopper to avoid this issue. We have also talked about this b4 here on the12volt It was a pontiac tho but same thing. See if you can find that old post and see what im talking about.         Hope this helps yo -Mike

Use a different bypass module to see if it's the module. This will rule out the module if it does it again.Jeff
