Hey, well i just did a new 2006 Chrysler 300 M without navigation and i put in the new Alpine IVAD310 with navigation let me just say the VSS wire is not fun!! As some know the alpine piece you dont have to hook the VSS wire up, but if he is traveling and they go under a bridge or up north somewhere, they will lose signal and if your on the highway doing 90 mph you will miss your exit so VSS wire is important
IT IS as the ECM under the hood on the PASSENGER side of th firewall.. pull up all the TABS, and pull tabs, it will be right there, its a 13MM bolt holding it in the whole thing pulls right up.
There will be four plugs! DO NOT UNPLUG!!
The plug all the way to the left, there will be a GREEN/ Brown wire!! THAT IS THE VSS WIRE NEEDless to say this was a nightmare to track down considering no info on it yet!! so have fun and u can run it through the factory gromet on driver side just run acorss under hood, loom it, the grommet is under the other panel you will see!! have fun and enjoy
Sinceryly,
The Custom Nate
