Which component set?

I've had two pairs of Polk dB 6500 component set's laying around for quite some time. I've recently purchased a new car (2005 Honda Civic EX Coupe) and are starting to work on the stereo. You can see the current setup in my signature. I am wanting to upgrade the component set up front and was going to put in the Polk dB set, however I just ran across a great deal from a friend. I purchased a set of JL Audio VR525 - CSi 5.25" component speakers brand-new and sealed for $50! The only difference I've noticed between the two set is that the JL Audio set is a smaller diameter woofer, but has a larger magnet and deeper mounting depth than the Polk Audio component set, and over-all feels much beefier. I really want a good mid-range reproduction with decent midbass. I had the Polk's installed in the rear of my old CRX, however I was not really impressed with them as they lacked any mid-bass what-so-ever, although they were only running off an Alpine CD deck. I plan to amp these component's, but have not yet chosen an amp. I would love to listen to the two side-by-side, however I don't have that luxury as I am always pressed for time when doing projects. So I would hate to install one set it one door and the other in another door just to find out. I could hook them up to my home stereo unit but I don't think this would give4 me a real side-by-side comparison as they would not be in any type of enclosure.
