On most new GM vehicles, the radio will still come on with remote start, even if the brown radio wire has not been powered.
On most all GM cars, I don't power the brown, and I don't have a problem.
However, on the Rendezvous/Aztec, sometimes the Service Engine message will come up on the dashboard if the brown wire isn't powered, so now I always connect it when doing those cars.
But anyway, just because the radio is on doesn't mean the brown wire isn't powered---it's worth checking out.

But, when the vehicle is running, not remote started, everything will be powered normally. That's what the issue is. The nav wouldn't work when started with the key either. It couldn't get it's bearings. To my memory, I powered everything when I installed the Avital, but it was almost a month ago, and now the customer complains of nav problems.

Ah, okay, sorry about that---I thought it was working okay when started with the key---I didn't read carefully enough.
Couldn't hurt to see what the owner's manual for the car has to say. There might be some way to reprogram or recalibrate something.
But, as others have said, if it does the same thing even with the key, it most likely isn't your fault. Hopefully it's still under warranty.

I tried the owners manual, and there is a seperate manual for the nav system, which the customer didn't have, of course. I can't figure out what I could've done, and neither can any of the other installers at work. Thanks for all of the input as soon as I find out the reason I'll post it. Thanks.

The problem has been solved. It turns out it was the Avital antenna. It took the Buick dealership two days to find it. I wish I had known the day the Rendezvous rolled in. I could have saved the store $140 and myself a headache. Well, live and learn and thanks to everyone who gave me advice.
