Here's the goods:
    Sony cdx-gt805dx HU
Sony mex-r5 in dash DVD player
    15" monitor glassed in dash
MTX thunder.7804 4 channel amp wired to
Four MTX tx6001 component sets in 2ohm stereo
    MTX thunder.92001 mono amp to
    2 MTX t9512-44 subs at 1ohm
now the problem:
I want to buy one more tx6001 component set and run
one for front center and one for rear center off of a
thunder.8502 at 4ohms. Does anyone make a surround
decoder(is that what it is called?) that will let
me run through all of my amps(6.1)?

not sure about 6.1. havent heard or seen any through my store. i know alpine and clarion make ones for 5.1 but not 6.1. Use both of them and get creative and make a BIG center channel. seems your pretty handy with fiberglass.....;)

I have not been able to find any true 6.1 surround processors yet.   But the real question is do you have a true 5.1 headunit....otherwise you wont be making the signal needed anyways
Alpine does make headunits for 5.1 as well as a processor, they can be connected via a fiber optic connection.   The shocker is, the lowest headunit with the DTS and 5.1 is roughly $450, and the processor is just slightly less at $350
We are planning on running both items in our next project vehicle, and they are sitting in the pile of equipment waiting to go in.
We have 6 amps to power everything
Front Mid Kicker ZR600
Front High Kicker ZR600
Rear full-range Kicker ZR240
Center Kicker ZR120
sub amp Kicker XS100
sub amp Kicker XS100
Everything will be controled thru the alipne units Via a 7.2 in touchscreen in the dash
Lots of money and work to achive true 5.1 surround. But alpine and some other companys make 5.1 setups that will simply plug and play with thier amps from the headunits

That is what I need to know. The Sony DVD player does not decode 5.1. The problem is that I do not want to use a different HU. I want to keep the Sony HU. I need a way to decode 5.1 with preamp outputs for all channels. I already have a monitor in my dash and I still want to use it.
