I'm planning to install remote start/kelless entry alarm system.  Can anybody help me answering some questions.

First question is, what bypass module to use to bypass transponder system (posibly that requires no key)

Do I have to use Audi Doorlock & Alarm Control Interface module on this car?

Is there something I should know as far as wiring?

How do you bypass cluch on this car?

Thank you.

Don't bypass the clutch, it is unsafe. Simply use a remote start designed to work on manuel cars such as compustar. As for other things i don't have directwire on this computer someone else will have to tell ya.

Here is wiring info for your car.
According to DEI your vehicle does not require a transponder bypass module.
As far as the clutch bypass, you will have to determine what is required with a multimeter. If you search this forum someone recently posted a 'how to' guide on clutch safety switch bypassing. There is typically a switch at the top of the clutch pedal that makes contact when the pedal is depressed. You will need to duplicate this ONLY during remote start. As has already been stated, only use a remote start specifically designed for a manual transmission vehicle!
Hope this helps.

Do you need to bypass the clutch ? I thought some Audi's were like the VW's where you didn't need to have the clutch pushed in to start ?

I think that was in the 80's. You have to have the clutch in now.

you have to bypass the clutch, there is a wire also that you can use that senses that the car is in gear, so its alot safer to use that wire, its been awhile since ive done one so i cant remember what the wire was, there is no transponder in the key, the wires say you have to go to the factory alarm module, but all of them can be tapped into at the kick panel for the locks, door triggers even trunk, hood pin you wire directly to the factory hood switch i dosconnected the factory one and just plugged right into it. only audi that i had a problem with was the avant, i had to diode isolate the door triggers off each door. Its alot easier to do the wiring if the cluster is out also. Ive never had to tap any wires at the factory alarm. Also the double pulse unlock is not needed if you have your keyless set to open all doors(Vag programming), only reason its there is to unlock the rest of the doors after the drivers. Also its good to reprogram the car to turn off the factory horn chirp on the keyless. Everytime you arm the car with the aftermarket alarm the horn will chip also unless its programmed off. One last thing if you program your lock pulse to 3 sec it will auto roll your windows up, dont program the unlock or it will roll the windows down if you arm the car. You can use an aux output and trigger the unlock pulse to roll the windows down from the remote also.
There are 10 types of people in the world, ones that understand binary and ones that dont.

I got this Alarm and it has (-)Neutral Safety Switch Input.  It says connect this wire to the PARK/NEUTRAL switch in the vehicle.  This wire will test with ground with the gear selector either in PARK or NEUtral.  This will prevent the vehicle from accidentally being started while in a drive gear. This input MUST rest at ground in order for the remote start system to operate.  Connected properly the vehicle will only start while in PARK or NEUTRAL.  You may also connect this wire to the Parking Brake Switch.

I guess this is the wire for manual transmition safety so that if its in gear it wont start, correct me if I'm wrong.  Does anybody know wich wire I got to hook this up to?  Where is the gear switch located?  or parking brake switch...

So, can you tell me wich wire to use  that senses that the car is in gear?  I hooked all the wires up for remote start including the thin blue 2nd start wire, and grey/white disarm wire, when I press on clutch and try to start the accesory turns on for like 2 seconds and then turns off, starter doesnt even click, I wonder whats wrong I checked and all the wires seem to be hooked up right, what else could be wrong?
