My friend has a Cougar(I couldn't even guess the year right now) and her turn signals aren't working. I was wondering if anyone by chance had information on how to go about looking into this or a place to start. If not no big deal, just figured this place has a huge wealth of info, might as well see if anyone can help me. :)

As far as she has communicated to me they don't blink. Not sure if the interior gets any response like on the dash and they just aren't lighting up or what. I'll have to find that out tonight after work. Anything else I should find out before hand?

See this is where serious lacking experience... Flasher relay would be where? (I really feel like a moron but I've never dealt with this stuff before. Once my Monte becomes my beater car its gonna get to be the experiment like it is with all my current projects.) And check it how exactly?

She said it isn't responding on dash at all or blinking. Supposedly she had it checked out and they were saying like $300 to fix it(Switch had gone bad or something of that sort) and I was wondering if anyway to take care of that without costing so much? I mean I really am not that knowledgeable so if there is a good chance of screwing something up I'll say no but if it is simple enough I'd like to try.

its probably the multifunction switch, turn signals, high beams and wipers. It is a ver very common thing on fords. replace the part.
