Hi, I have a 1994 Sonoma ext cab with all stock sound stuff and I want to put in two Audiobahn AW1251T 4ohm DVC subs and an Audiobhn A8002T amp. The amp is RMS: 800 x 1 bridged( 4ohm stable only), 400 x 2 @ 2ohms, and 200 x 2 @ 4ohms. How would I wire this to both subs putting out 400 to each? Couldn't I wire one channel to each sub with 2ohms per channel and get 400rms to each?

Forgot to add this, but I am not able to upgrade the head unit right now and this amp has speaker level inputs. How would I wire the system to use those?

You have 2 options for wiring. You could do it your way and wire each sub for a 2 ohm load on its own channel.

Or you could wire both subs for a 4 ohm load like shown below:

And just bridge your amp.

If I bridge the amp and wire it all into a 4ohm load, will that still give me 400rms to each? Tats what I was unsure about...

Yes each will get 400

Ok, thanks for your help on that, but one more. What do I need to wire everything using the speaker level inputs and what wires do I use for those?

Ok, forget that last post. I have an old JVC KD-S730 head unit from a 1990 Trans Am laying around that I would like to put in my 94 Sonoma. What all am I goingto need to complete this install with the head unit, amp, and two subs?? Thanks again!

I'm not saying this to be mean or anything. There are things I won't even try. You might want to get this professionally done. It doesn't sound like you know too much about installation in any sorts. I really don't mean that in a mean way.

If you decide not to, then you'll need RCA cables, power cable, ground cable, a sub box, a remote turn-on wire, and speaker wire. You'll also need a fuse for your power cable and some crimp on ring terminals for the battery and ground.

I think that is everyting, but please add more if I forgot something.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Atleast 4 gauge power wire and ground.

Fuse holder for fuse. Just make sure the size of the fuse is the same or higher than what your amp is fused at.

And arrow the main thing you forgot was time lol

I think thats it. And please add more to this if i forgot some others.

I got an 8 gauge amp kit. I was told that it would be enough. Also, the box says up to 1500 watts and Im only running 800. Will it be enough?
