I am building new door panels over the existing ones (using the old ones as a backbone). If i buff up the old ones am i going to have a problem with the fiberglass sticking to the plastic? Anyway around this? Please help. Thanks!

Make sure they have a really rough surface and use adhesion promoter!

Adhesion promoter will help bond the fibreglass to the plastic panels! it is not necessary but does help!

How thick are you going on the glass? If you are building it up 1/4" or so, put some screws through the panel from the backside, lay down the glass, let it cure and cut off the tip of the screw. This is a good way to secure bondo to plastic as well, it works great for tweeter mounts for example.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
