I use a 2000 sierra 1500 pickup truck for work and have changed the oil plenty of times, however on the dash when i start up it says change engine oil on the information section. is there a trick to reset that light thanks email me at nyinstaller@netscape.net if you have an answer

If it is the same as my suburban, turn the key to on, hit the gas pedal 3 times to the floor, turn the key off and then back on and it should reset.

that is right however what it is actually is
turn key to on possition
press and release gas pedel 3 times.
leave key on the change engine oil light flashes 5 times than goes away and its reset.

Just wanted to add that the driver's door must be open in order for that to work.  Also this should be found in the owner's manual
