I had some free time and spare electronic parts left over from fixing a computer power supply. Basically I wired two capacitors (2200 uF and 220 uF)in parallel with a resistor on the positive side going to my LEDs. I tried it out last night to show my friends and now I got an order for four units.

Parts Needed:
1 Project board
1 Project case
1 DPST switch
1 2200 uF capacitor
1 220 uF capacitor
1 variable or fixed resistor
Wire
LEDs
This will cause the light or LED to fade out instead of just turning on with you cut power to the LED. Feel free to improve the design.
I have two already set up. One for the front grill lights and one for my dome light.

Diagram??

How do you Fade an LED?  Isn't it an ON - OFF component?   Don't you need a PWM signal to "fade"?
