Hey Everybody,
I bought my girl friend this starter for christmas last year and I am trying to install it, I work at Bestbuy so the installer there gave me all the info on how to install it but for some reason I can't get it to start.
Here is how I have it wired:
Honda Civic 92LX                         Starter
12 V - white                                    Red - Fused wire
12 V - white                                    Red - Fused wire
Ignition - Black / Yellow               Yellow
Accessory - Yellow                      Orange
Starter - Black / White                  Purple
Not Connected                             Green - Fifth Relay
Brake - Green / White                  Yellow - Fused wire
Parking Lights - Red / Black      Orange
Tach - Blue @ Driverside           Purple
             Strut Tower from
             distributor
Ground - Screw on metal           Black
                 at dash
                                                        Hood Pin - Grey
Can anyone please verify my wiring and tell me why it's not working. It doesn't even try to fire the engine and I get a blinking of the parking lights 3 times. When I check the diagnostic codes I found that I have a code 5 - New transmitter programmed, - Tach programmed.
What does this all mean??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If I un plug the hood pin no it will not start.
The parking lights and the brake lights are all working as they should. I believe that the lights are all hooked up correctly.
I think it has somthing to do with the programing of the tach and the tach signal. I have tried serveral time to get it to learn the tach programing but I don't think that it is actually working. I took a DMM to test it and the results were as follows:
Blue tach - negative terminal of DMM
Chassy Ground - positive terminal of DMM
Key in on position Max reading 15.0 mV
Blue tach - negative terminal of DMM
Chassy Ground - positive terminal of DMM
Running Idle Min reading 75.0 mV
Blue tach - positive terminal of DMM
Chassy Ground - negative terminal of DMM
Running Idle Min reading 00.8 mV
What does all this mean??
