I'm trying to install a Crimestopper Alarm in a 2005 Dodge Dakota Ext. cab. I'm using a CHDL7 Doorlock/Alarm interface module for the doorlocks and alarm and I can't get it to program. Do I have to have every wire connected eventhough I'm just installing an alarm? The ones I didn't connect are Ground out when running, MUX(2nd start), Trunk, and Starter. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have both the ignition and door trigger connected. The instructions say to plug in the unit and the red LED will come on to show that it is connected. It says to insert key into the ignition and the LED will go out to say that it is programmed. The LED will come on when connected but will not go out when the key is inserted into the ignition.

I never use CHDL7, I don't how is working but me for this vehicule, I use CAN-SL from Crimestopper. Work great, never come back... CAN-SL do your door pin status, tach output factory alarm control and doorlock.
