I've seen both listed in specs and was just curious if they both mean "Free Air Resonance?"

Are they BOTH listed numbers? I mean have you ever seen them at the same time on the same woofer? If yes, then they are not the same thing.

I have never seen Fo, (that I can recall) but I think they'd be the same, UNLESS they both appear as different mnumbers on one woofer.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I have never seen both on the same set of specs, but I figured I would ask you guys just to be sure.

Aura Sound actually lists "Fs" with "(Fo)" off to the side for their MR drivers, so I am pretty sure they are the same thing. Hemp Acoustics uses Fo exclusively though.

I am mostly curious as to why anyone would list Fo at all when Fs seems to be the standard, and what "Fo" is an abbreviation for.

At http://www.aurasound.com/ looking at the car audio sub MR 10, they list it as "Resonant Frequency (Fo) - Fs .... 32 Hz. And above that, under the column "Frequency Range (-10 db)", the result is listed as "Fo - 1.5 kHz". It seems as if they want it to be known properly as Fo, but for the sake of the unwashed crowds need to classify it as Fs for the purpose of listing T/S parameters.

I need to find a reference for those letter designations, 'cause I don't know why this is listed as such.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
