Alarm is a Toad A101CL with single point immobiliser that i'm fitting to my 1989 Austin Mini. I was going to make an immobiliser loop with the wire that goes from the starter relay to the starter solenoid. (The thickish brown one with the red stipe i think.)

Would this be ok? If not anyone got any ideas of what else i could use.

The reason i raised the query about using the wire from the starter relay to the starter solenoid is that it is quite a thick wire and the immobiliser wires are quite thin. Wondered if i ran the risk of burning them out? Any ideas?

I can't use the fuel pump sadly because it's mechanical! (Runs off the camshaft). Any other ideas? I'm not too bad with wiring but any advice appreciated.

Aside from the starter you can immobilize the ignition wire.

Is it ok to immobilise a wire if it's quite thick though, wondered about how much juice goes through it? Like i said in the earlier post, wondered if there was a risk of burning the immobilser wires out because they're quite thin.
