When and IF I find this wire, do I need to use a relay?
The combo unit is an Skytek 4000rs it has a wire in the harness they call dome light supervision.
I do not have the book with me but I think it says -output.
The vans domelights are on a relay some where since they are delayed already.
When you close the door they say on for a set amount of time. I just wanted to light the dome lights when you unlock the doors.
Thanks
John

I have an E350 the wires found at the dome light itself are GREEN/ YELLOW, BLACK/ blue, and black. In the drives kick, just behind the hood pop are the wires but there is a RED / pink wire in place of the black. I traced the wires in the kick as far as I could and it looks like they lead to the power distrbution box under the hood then back to the dome light. There are relays there but i didnt test for the wires. I found that the GREEN/ YELLOW wire is hot all times and is not used at the dome light and blace/blue is the trigger and the black is ground. From what I was told, you do need a relay even if you find the stock supervison. But I cant say for sure.
