I just installed a Python 1400 in my '05 F150 XLT. I thought the interior lights were triggered off of the door locks but apparently not. I have read some conflicting posts about the dome light supervision output from the Python. Can I connect it directly to the blk/blu dome light supervision in the truck? or do I need a relay?  Any info would be helpful.

If you cant measure the current required to activate the circuit then you should use a relay.

It looks like the output from the Python is 200ma on the dome control, so I guess I need to cut the blk/blu dome wire in the truck and measure the current drawn when all the light are on??
